Trading Partners Integrator Limitations

Trading Partner Section

Trading Partner Types

The Integrator has limited capabilities when it comes to creating different types of Trading Partners. Below is a summary of what is currently supported:

  • Manufacturer Trading Partner Type:
Can be created in the Trading Partner section of the Integrator.

  • Customer Trading Partner Type:
Can be created using the Customers Integrator. Refer to Customers Integrator

  • Supplier Trading Partner Type:
Can be created using the Suppliers Integrator. Refer to Suppliers Integrator

  • Competitor Trading Partner Type:
The Competitor web service is currently not functional, and competitor records cannot be created via the Integrator.

Public Flag

Due to limitations in the Oracle web service, creating or updating the 'Public' flag for Trading Partners is not supported

Address Effective Date, Address Expiration Date and Location Language

Due to limitations in the Oracle web service, the following fields for Trading Partners are read-only and cannot be created or updated:

  • Address Effective Date

  • Address Expiration Date

  • Location Language

These fields are available for viewing only and cannot be modified through the service.

Trading Partner Attachments

  • Manufacturer Trading Partner Type
Attachments can be created for Manufacturer type records using the Integrator.

  • Customer, Supplier, and Competitor Trading Partner Types
Attachments cannot be created for these trading partner types via the Integrator.

Update Trading Partner

Updates are permitted only for trading partners of the 'Manufacturer' type

Delete Trading Partner

The 'Delete Manufacturer' web service does not remove all associated child records. Therefore, the delete function for the Trading Partner section has been temporarily disabled until Oracle resolves this issue.

Trading Partner Item Relationships Section

Status

The Oracle web service will generate the following error when uploading “Spare” Status record(s):

Error: "API Error: Applying List binding LOV_RelationshipStatus with given set of values leads to no matching row for a row of type :TradingPartnerItemRelationship1, key oracle.jbo.Key[300000235524071 ] [25072] [Oracle REST Trading Partner Items Batch Rows 13-13]"

This “Spare” Status is not currently supported by the Oracle Rest web service.

Manufacturer Type Relationships for Engineered Inventory Items

When working with engineered inventory items, the integrator does not support creating relationships between Manufacturer Type parts and Manufacturer Type relationships.

If you attempt to add or update manufacturing part numbers for a Manufacturer Type relationship with inventory items, you will encounter the following error:

"You cannot add or update manufacturing part numbers for item YN884S965H. Use the Product Development work area to add or update manufacturing part numbers. (EGP-2775983)"

Trading Partner Item and Trading Partner Item relationships DFF Context

Trading Partner Item DFF context will show all the different relationship type DFF context(s). The correct value to select for a trading partner DFF context code has the prefix ‘CUST’. If you select any other value, the Integrator will error. See dff for more explanation on this limitation.

This is a More4apps architecture limitation. This will be addressed in a future release.
