Subinventory Transfer

A Subinventory Transfer moves inventory between two subinventories within the same inventory organization. The transaction is processed immediately and inventory balances are updated in real time.

The integrator supports Subinventory Transfer at the item line level only. Each row on the sheet represents a transfer of a specific item from a source subinventory to a destination subinventory.

The Oracle UI’s By Subinventory option — which transfers all items within a subinventory in a single action — is not supported. This is because the underlying Oracle REST Web Service (inventoryStagedTransactions) requires InventoryItemId as a mandatory field at the line level and has no equivalent "transfer all" endpoint.

Required Fields

The following fields are mandatory for all transaction types. The Integrator validates these against Oracle’s inventory rules before submission to ensure each transaction is actionable.

Field

Description

Destination Subinventory

The destination subinventory within the same inventory organization. Must be an active, asset-type subinventory. If the item has subinventory restrictions enabled, only assigned subinventories are valid.

Destination Locator

Conditionally Required. Required if the Transfer Subinventory is locator-controlled. Must be an active locator within the Transfer Subinventory.

Note: The Transaction Type field must be set to Subinventory Transfer for these fields to apply. The Transfer Subinventory LOV is filtered to the same inventory organization as the source Subinventory and is only enabled after the Item Number and source Subinventory are populated.
