Deleting Item Associations

The Delete functionality allows you to remove existing Subinventory or Locator associations that are no longer required. This process is permanent and should be handled with care to ensure your picking and replenishment logic remains intact.

To delete an Item Associations, the ‘Subinventory Upload Action’ and 'Locator Upload Action' columns value must be “Delete”.

To delete an existing Item Associations, More4apps recommends downloading first to ensure all relevant data is downloaded to the sheet.

Pre-Requisites for Deletion: Oracle Cloud enforces strict business rules for deleting associations. Before attempting a delete via the Integrator, verify the following:

  • Zero On-Hand Quantity: You cannot delete a Subinventory or Locator association if there is any physical or logical quantity on hand for that item in that specific location.

  • No Open Transactions: Ensure there are no pending picks, putaways, or open transfer orders tied to the association.

  • Correct Key Mapping: The Organization, Item, Subinventory, and Locator (if applicable) must exactly match the existing record in Oracle Cloud.

When a Subinventory–Item association is deleted at the Item Details level, all corresponding Locator association records are automatically removed. Therefore, it is recommended to delete the Locator associations first before removing the Subinventory–Item associations.

Once the desired associations are marked for Delete, upload them to Oracle.

The ‘Accepted’ status is returned to the sheet for Subinventories Status and Locators Status once they are successfully deleted from Oracle.
