Create new Item associations with both the Subinventory and the Locator
To Assign multiple items to subinventories and locators, the ‘Subinventory Upload Action’ column value must be Create or “Create records. Refer to Uploading for more information about how they work.
If other sections such as Locator Upload Action be included in the upload, these sections will also need the “Create” value in their action columns. If not, they can be left blank and no action will be taken in those sections, even if they contain other data.
Input Method
There are two methods for entering values: direct input on the sheet or via a Data Form. Each method has its own advantages.
-
Direct Input on the Sheet
-
You can manually enter values directly onto the sheet.
-
This method allows you to copy and paste values from a different source.
-
Note that when uploading, a validation process will run to ensure the correctness of all entered values.
-
Data Form
-
The Data Form provides an alternative way to enter values.
-
It allows you to search or select values from pre-defined List of Values.
-
This can be useful when you don’t know the exact value to enter on the sheet.
-
To establish a new association, you must populate specific attributes across the Header, Item Details, and Locator Details Sections.
Subinventory Associations (No Locator)
The following fields are mandatory for a successful subinventory associations creation:
-
Item Details Section:
-
Organization Code: The specific Inventory Organization where the association will reside.
-
Subinventory Code : The primary storage area intended for this item association
-
Item Number: A valid, active item already assigned to the chosen Organization.
-
| The Subinventory Code List of Values (LOV) is filtered to display only 'Storage' type and active subinventories. 'Receiving' type subinventories are excluded because Oracle Fusion does not support static Item-Subinventory associations for transient receiving locations |
Locator Associations
The following fields are mandatory for a successful Locator associations creation:
-
Item Details Section:
-
Organization Code: The specific Inventory Organization where the association will reside.
-
Subinventory Code : The primary storage area intended for this item association
-
Item Number: A valid, active item already assigned to the chosen Organization.
-
-
Locator Details Section:
-
Locator Name: The specific identifier for the shelf, bin, or row. Ensure the locator is already defined within the chosen Subinventory in Oracle.
-
| The Subinventory Code List of Values (LOV) is filtered to display only 'Storage' type and active subinventories.'Receiving' type subinventories are excluded because Oracle Fusion does not support static Item-Subinventory associations for transient receiving locations. The Locators List of Values (LOV) is filtered to display only active Locators. |
Once all the Item Details and Locator Details information is entered for the item, the upload process can be initiated.
Understanding the Results
-
Accepted: The status column will display 'Accepted'. This indicates the web service has successfully created the association in Oracle Cloud.
-
Rejection: If the upload fails, the status will return 'Rejected' along with a specific error message
Please note that the integrator does not support the association of a locator alone to an item.
