Update Limitations
Update multiple Categories
Due to a limitation in the current web service, when updating to multiple categories to one header you will get following API error "API Error: Items cannot be assigned to multiple categories for this catalog because the catalog is configured for single assignment category assignment. (EGP-2775085)" You can only update one category record at a time. The service does not support multiple or bulk updates for category changes. This behaviour will be improved once Oracle releases a fix for the web service.
Update and Create in the same Upload
Oracle’s web service has a bug where if more than one item is being uploaded in a single upload it will error when the first item in the upload is an update transaction and any subsequent items in the upload are a create transaction. In this situation, we have configured the Integrator to display the following message:
No upload has been performed for the selected range/sheet due to validation errors or missing Upload Action(s). Please provide a valid value or section upload Action(s)
Possible workarounds:
-
It is possible to use the Excel Sort function on the Header section ‘Upload Action’ field to sort the create transaction above the update transactions.
-
Consider separate worksheets for the create transactions and update transactions.
Update Item EFFs
The fields ‘Item EFF Context Status’ and ‘Item EFF Attribute Status’ will remain in a validated state even after a successful upload.
Only item-level EFFs are supported. The solution does not support EFFs at the item revision or item supplier levels.
The Integrator does not indicate which fields are non-updatable; if values are provided for these fields, the upload will succeed but the changes will not be applied.
