Update Receipt Method

Due to Oracle REST web service restrictions, updating a receipt method cannot be performed directly within the main invoice header record. If you need to change an existing receipt method on a receivables invoice, you must use the dedicated Update Receipt Method section.

Simultaneous creation and updating is not supported.
When creating a new invoice, you cannot populate the Update Receipt Method section at the same time. Attempting to do so will display an error during upload.

Recommendation: First, create the invoice and upload it to Oracle. Once the invoice is successfully created, perform a subsequent upload using the Update Receipt Method section if you need to change it.

This section handles the update independently and introduces two specific columns to process the change:

Column Name Instructions

Receipt Method Upload Action

This cell dictates the action to be taken. You must set this value to Update for the change to process correctly.

New Receipt Method

Specifies the replacement receipt method for the invoice. You can select a valid method from the Data Form’s List of Values (LOV), or you can type in the valid value directly into the cell.

Steps to Update

  1. Locate the Update Receipt Method section in your worksheet.

  2. In the Receipt Method Upload Action column, enter Update.

  3. In the New Receipt Method column, select or enter the new receipt method.

  4. Proceed to upload your worksheet to Oracle to apply the changes.
