Receivables Invoice Installments
The Receivables Invoice Installments section allows you to manage the payment schedule for an invoice. You can use this section to split an invoice into multiple new installments or update the due dates and amounts of existing installments.
|
Total Installment Amount Validation & Upload Actions To successfully pass this validation, the system must calculate the sum of all installments during the upload. Therefore, every installment line must have an upload action. Even if you are not making any changes to an existing installment line, you must still set its Installments Upload Action to Simultaneous creation and updating is not supported. Recommendation: First, create the invoice and upload it to Oracle. Once the invoice is successfully created, perform a subsequent upload using the Installments section if you need to change it. |

Example 1: Updating installments for two invoices
The following example illustrates how to manage installments across two invoices. We are updating one existing installment and creating four new ones for each invoice. As required, the sequence number is populated for the updated row, while the sequence column is left blank for the new rows.
Example 2: Updating a single invoice with a new installment
The example below demonstrates how to add a new installment to a single existing invoice. To ensure the sum of all installments continues to equal the total Entered Amount of the invoice, the original amount on the fifth installment is reduced to accommodate the new row. Notice that the Upload Action for all existing rows is set to Update, even for the first four rows where no changes were made. The new installment row is set to Create with the sequence column left blank.
