General Ledger Journals Limitations

The Journal Import web service is not intended to handle large volumes of journals. Recommended Oracle upload volume is between 500 to 1,000 rows (Doc ID 1440064.1). Due to the nested SOAP structure, upload performance will be impacted by large volumes.

Budget and Encumbrance Journals are not supported by the web service.

Processing of Attachments is not available in the current version. We are working on adding this functionality in a future release.

The Control Totals feature will be available in a future release.

The GL Interface does not facilitate the following DFFs:

The recommended Oracle workaround is to add the DFFs in the Journals UI.

Update functionality is not available as there are no web services to update existing data in the GL Interface table.

In the absence of a suitable Oracle web service, we’ve implemented a download solution using BI Reports.

The data downloaded through the BI Reports leverages some, but not all, of the access controls used in the Oracle Fusion ERP UI. To ensure only authorized users can access information, administrators manage download access through a profile option.

The ability to purge data from interface tables pertaining to the import process is not available in the current version of the Integrator. This may be added in a future release.
