Limitations

Size Limit of 500 rows

Oracle has confirmed the requisitions user interface is designed with a 500-row limit per requisition. We advise against creating requisitions with more than 500 rows (lines or distributions combined), a larger requisition cannot be viewed or submitted for approval, either through the integrator or manually in the cloud application and would need to be deleted. Split large requisitions into batches of 500 rows or less.

Batching

The Integrator uploads data in batches of a predefined size (currently 50) per section. If a batch contains an error, the entire batch is rejected. For example, if the header section has no errors but a line or distribution is rejected, the header batch is still created, but the lines/distributions are not. Correct and re-upload the problem line or distribution.

Currency

Creating purchase requisitions via the Oracle REST service is only supported in the same currency as the ledger currency. The Conversion Rate fields on the line (see Sourcing) do not lift this restriction, they support converting an agreement’s or supplier’s price for tax/accounting purposes, not creating the requisition itself in a foreign currency.

Project Information

Project information can be validated and uploaded as expected. If the destination type is Inventory, the inventory organization must have the "Inventory Tracking by Project" flag enabled. The REST service does not download Project Name or Task Name, only Project Number and Task Number, though the Name fields are derived from the Number on validation or upload.

Descriptive Flexfields

Descriptive Flexfields can be uploaded with the following limitations: The Oracle web service does not enforce a mandatory DFF list-of-values segment, a null value is still accepted by the web service even where Oracle itself requires an entry. Workaround: Enter an invalid value such as XXXX into the Default Row (row 10) attribute field so validation raises an error and flags the field as required. For mandatory text-entry segments, add a note on row 7 or above instead.

Dependent and independent descriptive flexfield lists of values are supported; table-based lists of values are not supported for display, though validation of a valid value still works. Lists of values are limited to the first 500 entries to avoid the Integrator freezing or timing out on large data sets, this does not affect validation, so a value beyond the first 500 is still valid if it exists.

Attachments

Attachments can only be created or added to requisitions with a status of INCOMPLETE, set Submit for Approval to No, or leave it blank, to achieve this. Downloading or updating attachments is not currently supported.
